Private sessions focused on whole body balance, strength and healing.
Swedish MassageDuration: 1-2hr
This massage is preferred by those who like a light or medium/firm pressure, without the intensity of deep tissue. Your therapist will use long, flowing, broad strokes to help the body to remove toxins, increase blood flow to working muscles and place the mind in a relaxed state.
Deep Tissue MassageDuration: 1-2hr
This targeted massage focuses on specific areas for deeper relief using trigger point therapy, myofascial release techniques and slower, deeper massage strokes.
Sports MassageDuration: 1-2hr
Sports massage therapy is geared toward athletes of every kind. Focusing on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements. Sports massage is used to enhance pre-event preparation and reduce recovery time for maximum performance during training or after an event. It also promotes flexibility, reduces fatigue, improves endurance, helps prevent injuries and prepares the body and mind for optimal performance.
Hot Stone MassageDuration: 1-2hr
Hot stones warmed by fire were used by Native Americans to treat aching muscles. In this treatment session we will use smooth basalt river stones, massaging over your back, arms, legs and feet to melt away tension and ease muscle stiffness. Your therapist will alternate between using her hands and the stones to massage, with the heat allowing the therapist access to deeper muscle layers.
Prenatal MassageDuration: 1-2hr
A pregnant woman goes through many changes physically, mentally and emotionally in such a short amount of time. It is important to actively take control of your body’s health during this time and massage is a wonderful way of doing just that. At Whole Body, we use the Body Cushion to properly align the body and allow women to comfortably and safely lay face down during massage. Side-lying techniques are also used during the session to loosen and stretch the low back and glutes.
Postpartum MassageDuration: 1-2hr
Massages can help as your body begins to return to its natural pre-pregnancy state. It supports and enhances the re-aligning process, with a focus on the pelvis and ribs. Recommended 1-6 weeks post delivery. Please call with any questions.
Chair MassageDuration: 10-15 minutes
Chair massage is a style of seated massage that is typically short — 10 or 15 minutes — and focuses on your back, shoulders, neck and arms. Chair massage is done over clothes and doesn’t require any massage oil.
Corporate Chair MassageDuration: 10-15 minutes
Employers invite therapists to their place of business, to offer chair massage to their employees. This can be offered regularly, as part of a wellness package or as a reward for a job well done. Companies can pay the entire cost, split it with their employees, or simply provide the time and let the employees pay for the chair massage themselves. Often chair massage can be a free perk at a corporate party or event.
